Human nature

I can’t strain this enough but I will always abide to my knowledge that humans are selfish beings. I’m not saying it as a bad thing nor are my intentions to offend anyone, but from personal experiences and thorough thinking, it only seems fair to consider each one of us as being somewhat selfish in different aspects. Of course, we all have the choice to perform selfless acts and for the most part we do, but unknowingly we do so for selfish reasons such as for self-pride and to make ourselves feel good about what we did.

We, as humans, grow up learning so little about what the world has to offer and were repeatedly told what to do and how to act. And as we continue to grow, we eventually learn a more in-depth meaning about what we had already known about man and life. It is in our nature as living beings to do what is necessary to survive regardless of many factors including other people, possible outcomes, and things of that sort. And as bad as that sounds, we’ve all done it in some form or another. Nothing to be ashamed about. We’re humans, that’s what we do.
